Innovativer Einsatz von KI (künstlicher Intelligenz) durch Selbstständige oder in KMU
Die AGS, die Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Selbständigen und kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) in der SPD, zeichnet mit dem "European AGS Innovation Award 2025" erneut innovative, erfolgreiche und sozial verantwortliche KMU oder Organisationen aus. Der Preis steht jedes Jahr unter einem anderen Motto.
2025 geht unser AGS-Preis an Selbstständige und kleine Personen- oder Kapitalgesellschaften mit Hauptsitz in Deutschland oder Ländern der Europäischen Union, die einen innovativen Weg gefunden haben, Künstliche Intelligenz in ihrem Unternehmen innovativ und erfolgreich einzusetzen. Dazu gehören finanzielle, rechtliche oder technische Ansätze, aber auch Weiterbildungsprogramme, und vieles anderes mehr.
Hintergrund
In der ganzen westlichen Welt macht sich der demografische Knick bemerkbar: überall fehlen Fachkräfte. Dieser Trend wird zu einem ernsten Problem für die Volkswirtschaften und demokratischen Gesellschaften des Westens, deren Rückgrat oftmals der Mittelstand ist. Mit unserem diesjährigen Preis wollen wir Ansätze ehren, die sich neben Effizienzgewinnen zum Beispiel auch erfolgreich dieses Themas angenommen haben.
Mit der Verleihung des Preises will die AGS auch ein wirtschaftlich dynamisches, demokratisches und soziales Europa hervorheben, das den Menschen und seine Bedürfnisse in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Der Preis würdigt Selbstständige, kleine und mittlere Unternehmen, die diese Bedürfnisse verantwortungsbewusst und in außergewöhnlicher Weise erfüllen.
Kriterien für den "European AGS Innovation Award 2025"
Bedingungen für die Teilnahme:
Teilnehmen können alle Selbstständigen und KMU laut EU-Definition mit Hauptsitz in einem Mitgliedsstaat.
Sie müssen dem AGS Bundesvorstand in Deutschland von einem AGS-Bezirks- oder Landesvorstand, international von einem Mitgliedsverband der SE4DS bis spätestens 15.09.2025 vorgeschlagen werden.
Kriterien für den innovativen Einsatz von KI:
- Es muss sich um eine innovative Idee handeln, die den KI-Einsatz auf finanziellem, rechtlichem oder technischem Gebiet oder bei der Weiterbildung deutlich erkennen lässt.
- Das Unternehmen muss nach seiner Gründung vor dem 31.12.2022 im Jahr 2025 auf dem Markt weiterhin erfolgreich sein und sein Fortbestand gesichert sein.
Für die sorgfältige Auswahl der Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger ist es von größter Bedeutung, dass sie Kreativität in Bezug auf den KI-Einsatz gezeigt haben.
Weitere Kriterien, die nicht zwingend kumulativ im Zusammenhang mit dem aktuellen Motto des Preises stehen, können sein:
- Unternehmerische Initiative
- Nachhaltige Arbeits- und Produktionsmethoden
- ökonomische Dauerhaftigkeit des Geschäftsmodells (tatsächlicher Markterfolg über einen gewissen Zeitraum),
- ökologische Nachhaltigkeit des Geschäftsmodells (Einhaltung von Umwelt- und Rechtsnormen sowie klare und sichtbare Anstrengungen zur Ressourceneinsparung in der betrieblichen Tätigkeit)
- soziale Nachhaltigkeit und Einhaltung der Forderungen nach guter Arbeit (Einhaltung gesetzlicher Arbeitsschutzstandards, Zahlung angemessener Löhne und Gehälter, Umsetzung innovativer flexibler Arbeitszeitmodelle, Schaffung von Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten, aktive Beteiligung der Mitarbeiter an betrieblichen Belangen, möglicherweise Beteiligung der Arbeitnehmenden am Kapital, u.a.).
Der KI-Einsatz darf nicht dazu dienen, individuelle Freiheiten einzuschränken oder sonst wie Menschen zu schaden. (Ausschlusskriterium).
Der Preis wird von einer Jury der AGS vergeben, deren Entscheidung endgültig ist und die nicht angefochten werden kann.
Organisatorisches
Am 7. November 2025 wird bereits zum 15ten Mal der Innovationspreis durch die AGS im Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin verliehen.
Nur die Gewinner werden bis spätestens 31. September 2025 informiert, damit sie genügend Zeit haben, ihre Buchungen für Reise und Unterkunft zu arrangieren.
Die Veranstaltung wird von politischen Entscheidungsträgern, Medienvertretern, Verbänden und Unternehmern begleitet. Die Gewinner erhalten eine Urkunde und eine dekorative Preisstatue.
Eingeladen sind sowohl die Eigentümer als auch Arbeitnehmer.
Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass alle Kosten selbst getragen werden müssen.
Für den Fall, dass es im November 2025 wieder Reisebeschränkungen gibt, werden wir eine Preisverleihung per Videokonferenz organisieren. Technische Einzelheiten werden zu gegebener Zeit mitgeteilt.

Call for applications for the European AGS Innovation Award 2025
Innovative use of AI (artificial intelligence) by self-employed or in SMEs
The AGS, the working group of the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the SPD, is once again honouring innovative, successful and socially responsible SMEs or organisations with the ‘European AGS Innovation Award 2025’. The award has a different theme each year.
In 2025, our European AGS Innovation Award 2025 will go to self-employed individuals and small partnerships or corporations (SME) headquartered in Germany or countries of the European Union who have found an innovative way to use artificial intelligence in their company in an innovative and successful way. This includes financial, legal or technical approaches, but also training programmes and much more.
Background
The demographic shift is making itself felt throughout the western world: there is a shortage of skilled labour everywhere. This trend is becoming a serious problem for the economies and democratic societies of the West, whose backbone is often the middle class. With this year's prize, we want to honour approaches that have successfully addressed this issue in addition to efficiency gains, for example.
By awarding the prize, the AGS also wants to emphasise an economically dynamic, democratic and social Europe that puts people and their needs at the centre. The award recognises self-employed people and small and medium-sized enterprises that fulfil these needs responsibly and in an exceptional manner.
Criteria for the European AGS Innovation Award 2025
Conditions for participation:
All self-employed persons and SMEs according to the EU definition with headquarters in a member state can participate.
They must be nominated to the AGS Federal Executive Board in Germany by an AGS district or country executive board, internationally by a member association in SE4DS by 15-09-2025 at the latest.
Criteria for the innovative use of AI:
- It must be an innovative idea that clearly demonstrates the use of AI in the financial, legal, technical or training fields.
- The company must continue to be successful on the market for at least three years and its continued existence must be ensured.
For the careful selection of the award winners, it is of the utmost importance that they have shown creativity with regard to the use of AI.
Other criteria, which are not necessarily cumulative in relation to the current motto of the award, may include
- Entrepreneurial initiative
- Sustainable working and production methods
- Economic sustainability of the business model (actual market success over a certain period of time),
- ecological sustainability of the business model (compliance with environmental and legal standards as well as clear and visible efforts to save resources in operational activities)
- social sustainability and compliance with good labour standards (compliance with statutory occupational health and safety standards, payment of appropriate wages and salaries, implementation of innovative flexible working time models, creation of further training opportunities, active participation of employees in operational matters, possible participation of employees in capital, etc.).
The use of AI must not serve to restrict individual freedoms or otherwise harm people (exclusion criterion).
The prize is awarded by a jury of the AGS, whose decision is final and cannot be contested.
Organisational matters
The Innovation Award 2025 will be presented for the fifteenth time on 08-11-2025 at the Willy Brandt House in Berlin.
Only the winners will be informed by 31 September at the latest so that they have enough time to arrange their travel and accommodation bookings.
The event will be attended by political decision-makers, media representatives, associations and entrepreneurs. The winners will receive a certificate and a decorative prize statue.
Both owners and employees are invited.
We ask for your understanding that all costs must be borne by you.
In the event that there are again travel restrictions in November 2025, we will organise an award ceremony via video conference. Technical details will be communicated in due course.
